Created in 1971 by His Majesty King Hassan II, the Hassan II Trophy is now one of the most prestigious events in the world of golf.

Since then, the tournament has attracted the biggest names in world golf. In nearly five decades, the Hassan II Trophy has seduced Billy Casper, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Severiano Ballesteros, Vijay Singh, Payne Stewart, Nick Price, Sam Torrance, Padraig Harington, Colin Montgomerie, Ernie Els, Jose Maria Olazabal, Nick Faldo, John Daly ... and most recently Thomas Pieters, 4th in the Masters 2017 and Danny Willett, big winner of the Masters 2016, who have joined the plateau of the 2018 edition of the tournament.

Last April, the French Alexander Levy won the Hassan II Trophy in Rabat, his fifth title on the European Tour at just 27 years old. With -8 total, the French wins ahead of Spaniard Alvaro Quiros (-7) and four challengers to -6.

With this victory, Alexander Levy climbs to the 9th place of the European Ryder Cup List, the qualifying classification for the Ryder in France. On the Race to Dubai, the French goes from 24th to 9th place.
